My name is Lisa Watson and I am a native Arizonan. I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona and I am the seventh child out of seven children. I graduated from the University of Arizona (Go Wildcats!) with a B.A. in English and a minor in Journalism. I left Arizona for a while and lived in Southern California where I became a newspaper reporter. I come from a family of educators, so I wanted to get away from the educational sector; however, I was reporting on education news in California! I returned to Tucson and began working in the Tucson Unified School District, and soon moved into the charter schools, where I taught high school English. I received my Master's Degree in Adult Education from the University of Phoenix in 2004. I've worked in school administration and have 36 credits toward my doctorate degree. I had to leave my doctorate studies after experiencing the deaths of my oldest sister, her daughter, and my dad in 2008. I decided to go back into the classroom after being in administration because I missed the rewards of seeing students "aha" moments! I enjoy writing short stories, novels, and poetry. My favorite television show is Law & Order: SVU, and I have a 7-year-old Chihuahua named Chica.
