Charles A. Clendenen Sr., a native of Dallas, Texas, was raised in the Metropolitan Atlanta, GA area. He is a Graduate of Georgia State University with an AB Degree in Psychology and Minors in Management and Criminal Justice. Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army and served 2 1/2 years as a Military Intelligence Special Agent. He interviewed thousands of people while conducting background investigations. He also interviewed potential military personnel who had indicated some affiliation with radical groups. After attending Infantry Officer Candidate School, he received a Commission as a Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps. He held positions of Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer. Charles's next career step was as a recruiter and HR Manager for the Ivan Allen Company, Atlanta, GA. He conducted thousands of applicant interviews and reviewed thousands of resumes in this role. Charles held a state Polygraph Examiner Intern License for 2 years. Still with Ivan Allen Company, he took on the role of Salesman. He was promoted to a Sales Manager Position and was a member of The Achievers Club and The President's Club. He retired from Ivan Allen Company to return to federal service. He is presently the Administrative Officer for a government division that covers the entire state of Georgia. This explains the 40 years of experience Charles has involved in the interview process and making key decisions.
