We live in a world guided by money. But what if we could exchange goods freely, in unlimited amounts? How would we invent a world where men and women create things because they love what they do, not because they must feed themselves? This imaginary world exists in full force today. But it is hidden from the naked eye. The Mind Share Market is the story of a new type of enterprise: the enterprise where the essential goods are available and affordable to all, while at the same time creating commercial and for profit markets. It is the vision of utopists for a post scarcity world come true without the ills of communism and non-monetary systems. It rewards hard workers without letting the poor die of hunger through a strikingly simple method with the power to radically change society. How does this world operate? Have companies succeeded in this attempt and for how long? The definitive reference in free vs. paid business models told by a practitioner, and a story to guide the reader along the way.
