The misty swamps and imposing mansions of Tidewater Virginia have long been the scene for stories of mystery and suspense. Henrietta F. Ford grew up in a small town in eastern North Carolina. Her childhood endowed her with memories of dusty country roads, foggy swamps, and miles of misty beaches. These haunting scenes serve as inspiration for her stories of mystery and suspense. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduate degrees from the University of Middle Tennessee. She taught twenty two years and now lives in Williamsburg, Virginia.
