She loves the sparkle of the holidays, and giving gifts is de Las Casas' favorite activity! Illustrator Holly Stone-Barker graduated with a BFA in communication design from Pratt Institute in New York. She works as a freelance illustrator and enjoys teaching arts education. Stone-Barker's paper never stops rustling as she endlessly slices her collection of papers from all over the world to create her intricate illustrations. She has collaborated with Dianne de Las Casas on several books, including Mama's Bayou, Blue Frog: The Legend of Chocolate, The House That Witchy Built, and The Little "Read" Hen. She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with her husband and two children.
