Biografía del autor:
Matt Barber first encountered ballroom dancing as choreographed routines onstage for musicals and began ballroom lessons in high school. At eighteen, Matt started training to be an instructor with National Dance Clubs as a side job in college. He went on to teach in the independent world, for Arthur Murray International, and ultimately for Fred Astaire Dance Studios. After graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan and acquiring an SB from Fordham University, his MS, and several "pretty pieces of paper" from Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, Matt has decided to stay in the ballroom world. Rachael Strickland, Matt's content editor and better half, teaches alongside him every day. After meeting Matt onstage, Rachael underwent Fred Astaire's teacher-training program while still in high school and, within twenty-four hours of graduating, was teaching her first professional ballroom lessons. Rachael went on to study both at Fordham University in Manhattan and at Georgetown University before deciding to make a career in the ballroom world. Look for many more ballroom books from this pair in the future!
