Inhaltsangabe

The Enneagram provides an amazing framework for understanding human behavior. Revealing both the positive and negative traits of each personality type it provides us with a path for growth (integration) and a path to avoid (disintegration). Though an ancient system it is consistent with the findings of modern psychology. The Enneagram's many remarkable aspects become even more evident when compared with the typologies of Karen Horney, Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung and the psychiatric personality disorders defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. This book includes sections for counseling each personality type, making it an excellent resource for pastors, counselors, therapists, psychologists and anyone who helps others. The Create, Connect, Commit philosophy of change is also included. CCC teaches people how to change and personality typing is at the heart of it. The Enneagram provides the framework for the self discovery that allows us to make permanent, dynamic changes in our lives. Written from a Christian perspective, this book helps Christians to live their lives as New Creations. When at their healthy psychological levels, each type is most in tune with their own spirituality. This book will change your life forever, creating both personal and spiritual growth. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

I was an Investigator on a multi jurisdictional Drug Task Force. I was also the Youth Minister at a growing Church with a large, vibrant Youth Group. I was in law enforcement for 16 years and ministry for over 10. I have a degree in Biblical Studies from Andersonville Baptist Seminary and I am a licensed and ordained minister. I am continuing my education in Christian Counseling at this time. Depression and inactivity took over my life to the point where I could not function at all. I had no motivation to do anything. It was a battle just to get out of bed. At one point, I thought that I would have to live on disability and never be able to hold a job. I considered suicide. Depression destroyed my career, my ministry, my marriage and my life. Yet somehow I recovered, started over from scratch and built a new life. I finally pursued what I was truly passionate about and found purpose in my life. I set goals and reached them. I developed the Create, Connect, Commit process to beat depression and create enduring change. Whatever you want to change this process will work for you. I tried self help, professional help, church and counseling, nothing worked. This process was born out of the desperate need I had to create something that worked. After trying everything else and failing, I decided I had to fix my problems myself. I researched change, psychology and depression. I learned about how the mind works and the psychological barriers to change. I looked for the common denominator in programs that were successful in helping people change. I kept what worked and discarded everything else. In the end I was left with Create, Connect, Commit, the process for changing anything. Combining CCC with the insight from the Enneagram of personality, I began counseling people with depression, the fear of failure, co-dependency and a host of other psychological problems that have at their core a common root; the inability to change. Books include; Change Anything; How I Beat Depression and the Process I Used to Create a New Life, Create, Connect, Commit to God and The Christian Guide to The Enneagram; Why We Think And Act The Way We Do.
