About the Author

Anil Kumar Gupta was born in 1956 in Dehradun, now part of Uttaranchal in India. He belongs to a family of Civil Service officers. His father was a Judge. He had his education in St Josephs School Nainital, and St Johns College Agra. He did his MSc in Administrative Science from University of York, U.K. He had interest in Humanities and Physical Sciences. He has studied extensively on Quantum Physics. He had English, History and Economics in Graduation and obtained Masters Degree in History from St John's College, Agra in the year 1977. Anil Kumar Gupta belongs to 1979 Batch of Indian Administrative Service. He has held senior positions as Secretary, Principal Secretary to Government of State of Uttar Pradesh for many years and now serving with Government of India. His father who had a deeply religious personality influenced him since his childhood. The youngest in a family of eight brothers and sisters he had been reading novels and English literature. He is interested in Spirituality, Cosmology and Religion. He is married and lives in Noida.
