  • The book will have a more international feel this time. Chapter 3 will be much more international and include historical and comparative aspects.
  • The authors will include international case studies from different countries – regarding communities of practice of play – where and how children play; how play is valued and how adults are involved
  • All chapters will be updated in line with recent policy and research.
  • All contributors will update and further develop amend their chapter.
  • Chapters 3, 11 and 12 will be radically reorganised.
