Wyn Grant is Professor of Politics at the University of Warwick and a member of the Population and Diseases Research Group in the Department of Biological Sciences. He is a former chair and president of the Political Studies Association, former president of the British Politics Group of the American Political Science Association, and a current member of the executive committee of the International Political Science Association. Grant has written extensively on political economy and comparative public policy.

To a large extent, an academic association reflects - rather than shapes - the evolutionary changes of a discipline it seeks to serve. Founded in 1950 to develop and promote the study of politics, the Political Studies Association (PSA) has itself gone through fundamental changes over the course of its development as the current leading association in its field in the UK.
