John Kenny Crane is Dean Emeritus of the College of Arts at San Jose State University, "The Engine that Drives Silicon Valley." This is his eighth book. One, The Legacy of Ladysmith, was a Book-of-the-Month Club Featured Selection. Another, The Root of All Evil, was named to the American Library Association's List of "Best Academic Books of the Year." In September, 2009, he collected his short stories into a book titled Growing Up as a Baby Boomer, all about one hero's maturation from age 5 to age 45. His most recent novel is The Last Great Superpower in 2004. He and his wife Beverley live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
