    Performer and educator Danny Tieger can tie a bow tie, enjoys wearing silly hats, and hopes to live in a tree house someday. He's also performed for thousands of kids in hundreds of schools across America with the Story Pirates, an educational theater company. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

      Taconic Writers was founded in the late 1980s by a small group of writer friends in New York’s Hudson Valley who wished to share their work in a supportive environment. Since then, the group has grown and flourished, producing six novels, several children’s books and books of nonfiction, as well as books of poetry, essays, and numerous articles.
