Ellens is an independent scholar of Hebrew Bible Languages and Literature.Jay Harold Ellens, is a highly published scholar on the interface of the disciplines of psychology and religion/spirituality. He is a Professor Emeritus of the University of Michigan, a retired Presbyterian theologian and pastor, and a retired US army chaplainProfessor Isaac Kalimi is currently Rosenthal Distinguished Visiting Professor in Biblical and Judaic Studies at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH) and Professor of Hebrew Bible and Ancient Israelite/Jewish History at Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies (Chicago).
