This is a true story. I was born in Clementsville, KY, in 1925-one of seven children. My father was a tobacco farmer, who sold his land and moved his family to Lizton, Indiana in 1926. It's a story about my WWII marriage-the birth of our 3 children and raising them in the Sheriff's residence of the Hendricks County jail and the tragic ending of my husband's life. I like to share and this is my story. Enjoy!!

Merle Funk was a man of integrity. He loved God, his family, and the community he served. He was in law enforcement and felt honored to serve in that capacity and I felt honored to be his loving partner for 33 years.
