Veiled Eyes is a story about a boy who in spite of achieving spiritual heights and walking on transcendental plain cannot trust his eyes. His eyes and mind live under constant conflict. There is always a clash between what he sees and what others see. What he sees as natural other finds them supernatural, preternatural and outlandish. He doesn't believe in anthropomorphic God because they fall out side his reasoning territory. He finds cosmic forces watching and shaping his every move. He grew up believing that he could dictate the course of his life. He finds that he was totally wrong. He has been intrigued, conspired and nudged into doing things he never wanted to do. At the end, he makes total surrender. So long he sailed in safe waters; he was driven by fear and desire. When he let the cosmic force drive his boat, he entered into confusion. He found the confusion more comforting than the tormenting false realities.

Prakash Dahal was born in Kapilvastu, Nepal. Currently in Kathmandu he is engaged with several international organizations operating in Nepal as freelance development consultant. He has traveled extensively across Nepal and south Asia. He braved the armed insurgency to undertake arduous treks fraught with risks and dangers in the hills and Himalayas of Nepal. Previously a journalist and a travel writer, he has been a popular columnist of several newspapers at home. He enjoys writing about psycho-mental state of fellow humans, their pains, anguish, traumas, belief and perceptions and the human dilemma in the face of complex situations.
