Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Help them or tell them Be like Jesus or talk about Jesus Social action or gospel proclamation Quite often we find ourselves gravitating toward one of those modes over the other--at times going so far as to pit word against deed, as if the two were mutually exclusive. Yet Good News to the Poor shows us how both are integrated in the biblical vision of mission so that we may become both evangelists and activists--Christians who talk the talk and who walk the walk. - Written by a church planter with over 25 years of experience thinking and writing about the intersection between evangelism and social action - Calls Christians to a dual commitment to gospel proclamation and social involvement, arguing that one reinforces the other - Each chapter ends with a summary as well a suggested reading list - Author's previous books (Total Church, You Can Change, and A Meal with Jesus) have sold well and are popular both in the US and the UK.
