Dierdre Luchsinger-Golberg was born and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin. She earned a BA in Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and immediately embarked upon a 27-year career, teaching a myriad of subjects including algebra, art, biology, English, Spanish and U.S. History. Teaching in both parochial and public schools, most of her years were spent working with eighth graders.The author was very active in her teachers' union, serving on the executive board, numerous bargaining teams and several terms as president. An accomplished tennis player, Dierdre became a certified official for the United States Tennis Association and earned a place on the officiating teams for NCAA national events, the World University Games and the U.S. Open.A lifelong animal lover and outdoor enthusiast, Dierdre, her husband and son live on a farm with their horses, goats, dogs and cats, many of whom are rescue cases. Mrs. Luchsinger-Golberg is a passionate student of natural horsemanship and is currently working toward the creation of an education center based upon the principles of natural horsemanship.
