D.L. Houston comes by her artistic talent quite naturally, as she is the daughter of two world-renown musicians and is from a family that includes a number of accomplished musicians, inventors, an artist and a best-selling author.After experiencing a successful singing career of her own she now resides in Florida with her husband where she is currently writing, and still enjoying singing, gardening and traveling.She was inspired to write "A Children's Story" when, during the 2003 Christmas season, she and her husband drove past a billboard that simply read "CHRISTmas". Every morning she took a few minutes while lying in bed, half-asleep, half-awake, to focus on that message. Slowly, this delightful story unfolded for her.
