Josefa Ben-Arieh earned her doctoral degree from the University of Kansas and worked as a post-doc at the Juniper Gardens Children¿s Project. Currently she works as a consultant for schools helping teams create effective inclusive educational programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Ben-Arieh also presents on various topics in autism at professional conferences and workshops nationally and internationally. In addition, she has authored and coauthored peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and is the author of How To Use Joint Action Routines and co-author of the book Autism Spectrum Disorders: Interventions and Treatments for Children and Youth.
Helen Miller, M.A., CCC-SLP, is currently holding the position of the autism coordinator in her school district. In this capacity she encourages research based programming and provides training and consultation services to the teachers and paraeducators who work with students with autism. Helen¿s training is in speech language pathology from Kansas State University and in autism and education leadership from the University of Kansas. For over 20 years she served many students with communication delays, including those with autism. She has presented on numerous autism related topics to university students, parents and educators and, as a Regional Autism Consultant for Kansas, Helen assists school teams across the state.
