Über die Autorinnen und Autoren
David Almond OBE is the acclaimed author of many award-winning novels for children such as Skellig, Kit's Wilderness and My Name Is Mina, and has collaborated with artists such as Polly Dunbar, Dave McKean, Alex T. Smith and Oliver Jeffers on fiction for younger readers. David's books sell all over the world, and in 2011 he was the recipient of the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award. Dave McKean is an award-winning artist and film director whose work spans drawing, painting, photography, collage, digital art and sculpture. His books for children include The Savage, Slog’s Dad and Mouse Bird Snake Wolf by David Almond, all of which were shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Award, and S.F. Said’s Varjak Paw, Outlaw Varjak Paw, Phoenix and Tyger. For adults he has illustrated novels by Stephen King and Ray Bradbury, and Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck Cookbook. Dave lives in Kent with his wife.
