Explores nanostructured materials in sensor design, fabrication, and real-world applications
The integration of nanostructured materials into sensor technologies has transformed modern analytical systems, enabling unprecedented sensitivity, selectivity, and stability across diverse fields of application. Nanostructured Materials for Sensing Applications provides a comprehensive two-volume reference that captures both the fundamental science and practical implementation of nanosensors.
Volume One examines the fundamental principles underlying different sensing platforms and details the synthesis, properties, and functionalization of nanomaterials, including nanoparticles, nanowires, nanotubes, nanofilms, and polymeric nanomaterials. This foundation equips readers with the theoretical framework and technical knowledge needed to understand how nanoscale structures influence sensing mechanisms and performance.
Volume Two shifts focus toward practical applications, demonstrating how these nanosensors are deployed in critical areas such as healthcare diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and food safety.
Equipping researchers, engineers, and professionals for advancing nanosensor technologies to address pressing global challenges, Nanostructured Materials for Sensing Applications:
Critically examining the challenges, limitations, and future opportunities in nanosensor development, this book is essential reading for researchers, and academics in nanotechnology, materials science, chemistry, and engineering. It is also an indispensable reference for professionals in healthcare, environmental monitoring, and food safety industries, as well as government and regulatory agencies engaged with sensor technologies.
