Valdei Lopes de Araujo is Professor of History at Federal University of Ouro Preto, Brazil. He was President of Brazil's National History Association in 2021/2022. He has also been a researcher and guest professor at Stanford University, USA and Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany.
