De Boislisle a fait connaître avec tant de perspicacité, il reste encore bien des découvertes à faire sur différents points de la vie de l'auteur du Roman Comique, qu'il a laissés en dehors de son étude, c'est ce que j'appellerai le côté manceau de la vie de Scarron et c'est celui-là que je mettrai tout particulièrement en lumière.
