Of New York, held in Poughkeepsie, in June, 1788, was an important historical event. The fact of its having been held at Poughkeepsie gives it a peculiar local interest, and it seemed fitting that a reprint. Of the debates and proceed ings, which had become exceedingly rare, should be made. This has been done by the liberality of Vassar Brothers Institute. The reprint is made in fac-simile, from a copy in the Adriance Memorial Library, which was published by Francis Childs in New York City, in 1788. John C. Sicklby, alvah L. Peckham, 'alfred H.
