Si j'entre dans ces détails, c'est pour expliquer qu'ayant parcouru Paris tous les jours et dans tous les sens, j'ai pu faire un livre, sinon plus inté ressant au moins plus complet que les volumes dont les auteurs habitaient au delà des fortifications. Il n'arrivait à leur oreille que l'écho affaii des bruits de la grande cité, et ils ne voyaient rien de ce qui se passait à l'intérieur.
