Il est certain que cette 'nation s'est singulierement distinguée par sa générosité envers le clergé Français. Mais on verra aussi dans le cours de l'ouvrage que l' auteur n'est point ingrat envers les autres peuples sur - tout envers ceux des pays-bas Autrichiens. Il n'entre point dans des détails sur lesquels la dis tance des lieux ne lui a pas permis d'être mieux instruit; mais à la ma niere dont il s'exprime jusqu'à deux fais sur les bienfaits de la nation.
