Excerpt from Report of the Quartermaster General of the State of New Jersey, for the Year 1894

From an inspection of the annual returns made according to law, by the Companies of the National Guard, the arms and accoutrements in their possession appear to be in fair condition. Such arms as are reported as needing repairs will be ordered returned to the Arsenal, and accoutrements lost or worn out in the service will be replaced by new ones, provided such losses have occurred without fraud or culpable negligence on the part of commandants. There have been no companies disbanded during the year.
