Ertrand. M. Le docteur Bertrand médecin militaire, a résidé à Laghouat de 1857 à 1858. Ses fonctions medicales ne lui ont pas permis de s'éloigner beaucoup de la ville, mais nous lui devons la communication de plusieurs espèces intéressantes observées par lui - à Bas - el - Ai'oun. L'iniportant'e série d'observations barométriques qu'il a prises en 1858 nous a été précieuse pour la détermination de l'altitude dé'laghouat, et nous a fourni un utile point de repère pour le calcul des altitudes de nos stations dans le Sud.
