Case [z - Mrs. H., aged 27, the mother of two children, of whom the youngest is thirty-three months old, noticed, three months ago, a small lump at the upper and outer limit of the left breast, for which she is unable to account. It has gradually i11 creased in size until it is now as large as the half section of an orange. It has never been the seat of pain or heat, and the nipple and integuments are normal. On lifting up the mass it feels like a solid tumor with cystic degeneration, as it is firm excepting at a limited spot, where fluctuation is decided. The exploring needle, however, discloses thick, greenish pus.
