I hope you have not come here to amuse yourselves or to admire a fine display of brilliant eloquence.

For I am not likely to satisfy you therein. It may even be that I shock you by saying unpleasant things in a foreign sort of English.

But I have come because I have something very serious to tell you which lays as a burden on my soul, and Emerson has said that when a man feels the burden of truth in his soul that truth will become eloquent by itself, though the man may stutter and stammer.

I confess that I, for one. Believe that when a man is on a great errand there is a guidance for him showing him the things he has to take note of. I felt that this time I shall tell you how.

I came here on board of the greatest and fastest ship known, traveling first class.

And we were a very swell party Indeed and had a good time, with eating and drinking and musical entertainment unless a big Atlantic swell put us off our feet.
