Mr. President I wish to communicate to the Society a Jour nal, covering the period from the twenty-sixth of April to the second of July, 1776, kept by lieutenant-colonel Joseph Vose of Milton, Massachusetts, on the expedition sent by way of the Hudson River and Lake Champlain into Canada to reinforce the troops that had been sent there in 1775 under the command of General Montgomery and General Thomas.
