Fresh, practical anthems for church choirs

Temple Anthems: For General Use by All Church Choirs compiles a carefully chosen list of anthems suitable for worship at a wide range of choir levels. Edited by Evan Stephens, the collection aims to balance musical quality with singability, preserving well-known favorites while adding new pieces from leading home writers.

Originally produced to address concerns about overly difficult or overly light selections, this volume seeks to provide music that is popular, usable, and consistent with the needs of church singers. It anticipates a continued effort to meet the needs of congregational singing across the church.

• Includes a mix of familiar classics and new compositions chosen for accessibility.

• Emphasizes a high standard of music without making parts too hard for average choirs.

• Reflects a collaborative effort, with attention to what choirs and leaders want in worship music.

• Sets the stage for future volumes following Volume One’s reception and success.

Ideal for choir directors and singers seeking reliable, worshipful anthems that enhance congregational singing.
