Concords or covenants were occasionally made before the King and his Court, very soon after the conquest of England, but it was not until the 28 Henry II. That they took a practical and permanent form, and became habitual. Even then it does not appear that the Court of Exchequer retained copies of the agreement. But in the 6 Richard I on the 15th July, 1195.
