At harvest time the dull thud of the flail is heard, and the loud, whirring hum of the primitive threshing-mill, which is turned by horses in gorgeous blue sheepskin collars. They are directed by a man who stands at the junction of the three shafts and whose large straw hat and lo the striking features of our little village.
