The rapid sale Of a first and large Edition of this little work, has proved that there were good grounds for believing that Plain Rules relating to Stable management would prove acceptable to many. We felt that brevity was a great desideratum in such a work as this, and we still think that it would be undesirable to add to it so as materially to increase its size. In the present Edition we have intro duced notes on baths, on summering hunters.
