An army of faithful workers - young men and young women - had been at the church from six o'clock in the morning, preparing sandwiches and hot tea for the hungry child ren. I am sure that this is the best meal they get during the entire week. Every Sunday morning during the winter from four hun dred to eleven hundred children are given a free breakfast by these good people. Last year over eight thousand breakfasts were sup: died. The food is purchased with voluntary contributions from kind-hearted people in Liverpool.
