I grant that the majority of the worshipers and devotees of the Church of Rome are as zealous, earnest, and sincere as any people on earth. When it comes to the strict observance of church doctrines and traditions, I rank first among all denominations. But sincerity alone is no proof of orthodoxy. No one will question the fact that millions of Mohammedan worshipers are honest in their convictions as to What is right. The same may be said also of pagan worshipers. But we who stand in the light of Christianity know that they are wrong and deceived.
