The editor of the guide would like to preface anything that may be said about Base Ball with the request that the reader, if he is 1 inclined, will see that any guides be not thrown away, because they become a little worn, but be sent to the other side of the ocean. There have been many requests during the past winter for the guide, requests coming from the firing line. Every effort will be made to send plenty of guides, yet there may be someone on the other side who fails to get one in the first supply that goes over, and the single editions that may be sent by Base Ball fans may be just the copies that shall go to the right source.
