It clearly states that the Scriptures which were spoken by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, can only be under stood as they are taught by the same Spirit. Yet it seems to assume that it is necessary to have the inspired words of Scripture in the mind, so that they can be unfolded to us. This is a limitation of the work of the Spirit, which we cannot accept.
