More than one person should not be vaccinated from a single point.

On the third day following the vaccination where it proceeds in a normal way a papule may be seen at the site of the inoculation, surrounded by a reddish zone. On the fifth or sixth day this papule is changed into a distinct vesicle, the center of which is depressed while the margins are elevated. The vesicle attains its maximum size on the eight day. About the tenth day its contents become puruv lent, and the lesion is surrounded by an extensive areola. On the eleventh or twelfth day the local symptoms begin to subside, and the lymph within the vesicle is converted into a brownish scab which gradually becomes dry and hard, and falls Off from the twenty-first to the twenty-fifth day, leaving a circular pitted scar. Constitutional symp toms of a more or less severe kind are not unusual fol lowing vaccination. The temperature usually rises on the third or fourth day, and not uncommonly continues elevated until the eighth or ninth day.
