This difeafe is particularly difiinguifheci by pains affecling the joints, for the melt part the joints alone, but fometimes affect ing alfo the mufcular parts. Very often the pains {hoot along the courfe of the mufcles, from one joint to another, and are always much increafed by the action of the mufcles belonging to the joint or joints agefied.
