The early call for a second edition of this little volume has satisfied me that I was right in my belief that the profession was ready to examine any promising means of treating a class of disorders which it has never found easy to deal with. AS yet there has hardly been time for physicians to give their verdict on the methods I have described. I am able, however, to add cases which have been watched and treated by others, and I have made some few additions to the text.
