Besides, and to give the printer and printing buyer still less reason to waste energy on calculations, a series of reference tables have been appended showing the number of ems in nearly every type page imaginable in all type bodies in common use. These tables have been arranged in such a manner that no matter how many type bodies a page or galley contains, the actual number Of ems in such page or galley can be determined with as much ease and as quickly as if the page or galley had contained a single type body.
