The system of numbering which I' have devised is based on. Letting each decimal point represent a generation. The num ber will then indicate the 1ine of descent, kinship to 'othernames and generation or each person mentioned. For instance,'the number 115 means that the name bearing this numberis the fifth child of the first child of number one John Morton, and of the third generation. The relationship of any two descendants can therefore'be easily deter mined by comparing the' numbers which they bear, thus number 12 is the uncle of number 115, and number 121 and number 115 would be cousins.
