George LA bar, the subject of this sketch, was born in the autumn of 1763, in Mount Bethel, Northampton County, Penn sylvania, about half-way between Slateford and Portland, and half a mile from that road, over looking the Delaware River, and is, therefore, in his one hundred and seventh year.
