To my Descriptive and Historical Account of Folkestone, I must refer such of my readers as may desire more ample information about this pretty watering-place and the surround ing country, the object of these few pages being to give the casual visitor a brief outline of its history, and to point out the principal antiquities in the neighbourhood, with which my long residence here has made me familiar.
