To fair-minded critics many of the arguments for limited female suffrage are plausible, and in some cases sound, Such as those which base their demand upon a, limited suffrage for women with educational and property quali fications. It must be remembered that twenty-six states in the Union have to day some form of limited female suf frage, which, however, is of so little interest to the women concerned that the voting right is very rarely used. It is estimated that less than 2 per cent. Of the New England women who are entitled and urged to vote upon School matters, ever take advantage of their opportunity.
