Rome boldly and arrogantly declares that it is her purpose to make this country wholly Cath olic. In view of that fact, all Protestants ought to know what the system, falsely called Cath olicism is. To help them to such knowledge is the aim of this volume. They ought to know where they stand and be as ready to defend their position as Rome is to assail.

I have written in no spirit of hatred toward individual Romanists, but with a strong desire to contend earnestly for the faith once for all de livered to the saints.
