A Plea for the Gospel (Classic Reprint) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

This book is a collection of sermons that explores the tension between personal faith and the preservation of Christianity in the face of social issues. The author argues that the church has lost its way in its pursuit of material wealth and respectability, leading it to neglect the teachings of Christ. This has created a gap between the gospel of love and the actual practices of many churches, and it has led to a decline in the faith of many people. The author calls for a restoration of the gospel to its original simplicity, a rededication to the principles of love, self-sacrifice, and social justice. He believes that this is the only way to revive the church and to spread the teachings of Christ to a world in desperate need of them.
