Under the title of Croquet Problems, we have added a number of problems, etc., illustr ted by numerous diagrams, which will prove of great advantage to learners that are obliged to depend solely upon the book for instruction. There will' necessarily be a great diversity of rules for Croquet, until there is some recognized authority, on the subject, and we here take occa sion to urge the speedy calling of a National As sociation of rcroquet players, who shall adopt a code of rules that may become standard author ity. Any suggestions from experienced players will be thankfully received by the author, of this book, and will be promptly forwarded, if ad dressed to the publishers.
